How your vault stays safe

Explained simply, without jargon. This is what keeps your documents private.

We can’t read your vault. Our team can’t either.

We have no tool that lets anyone look at your contents. Our team can only see that your account exists and whether monitoring is switched on. Documents, contacts and letters stay hidden.

Every document has a lock of its own

Every document, password and letter gets its own key. Encryption uses AES-256. The keys are kept apart from the data in a specially secured store. Anyone who steals the database gets only scrambled data.

Release only when people agree

The people you choose have to confirm. No clock, no computer and nobody at ifever can release anything alone. A single “all fine” stops the process. If a release starts, we tell you at once. One tap cancels it.

We don’t store your password. Link and code arrive separately.

We only keep a scrambled fingerprint of your password. It can’t be worked back out, not even by us. Your loved ones get the link by email and the code by text message. Too many wrong guesses lock access automatically.

Covered by Australian privacy law

We handle personal information under the Privacy Act 1988 and the Australian Privacy Principles. If a data breach is likely to cause serious harm, we notify you and the Office of the Australian Information Commissioner (OAIC).

We never see your card. We never sell your data.

Payments are handled by a specialised payment provider. Your card details never reach our servers. We don’t sell data.

Check it yourself

A test release shows you exactly what reaches whom, and how it looks.
